What is Learning for Life
Learning for Life (LFL) is a complete, self-contained educational program designed to motivate positive student behavior, foster a sense of belonging, enhance self-esteem, and instill and reward a positive work ethic. By involving the local business, civic and community leaders in the lives of our students and schools, we forge the kind of partnership that is needed to make a profound difference in the lives of the youth of Arizona.
Exploring is a worksite-based program for young men and women who are 14 (and have completed the eighth grade) through 20 years of age. Explorer posts organizations match youth career interests and develop activities that initiate growth, learning and development. Currently we are collaborating with Medical Hospitals, Attorneys, Police and Fire Departments, Aviation, IT Fields, Veterinarians, and Corporations. Students have the potential to: job shadow, submit for scholarships, learn the type of skills and abilities required of a specific job, have executive level mentors, and the opportunity to attend national conferences and competitions. Besides Exploring we also have programs in: Leadership, Drug Prevention, Character Education and After School.
